Jr‑KG enjoyed a colourful day with themed attire, yummy snacks, toys, lovable cartoon characters and popcorn, making Favourite Day delightful for all.
Kindergarten observed World Conservation Day with Reduce‑Reuse‑Recycle activities and a demo on segregating waste. Children dressed in nature colours and fixed bird houses to feed birds on campus.
Pre‑KG highlighted healthy habits through favourite fruits. Children spoke or sang about their chosen fruit, created colourful displays and prepared fresh fruit salad to enjoy together.
A campus fire drill raised awareness on emergency actions and safe exits. Volunteers participated in a mock drill with simple tools and practiced managing flames responsibly.
Students visited St. Thomas Mount and viewed the Chennai Airport runway, excitedly watching aircraft landings and takeoffs while practicing observation and etiquette.
Sr‑KG explored Guindy National Park, observing snakes and crocodiles, old trees and shades of green. Children built sand castles and played team games with teachers.
A visit to the Rail Museum at ICF introduced engines, railroads and gauges. Learners enjoyed a toy‑train ride after hands‑on learning and guided exploration.
Thai Pongal was celebrated on campus to honour Sun, Mother Nature and livestock. Children prepared traditional pongal in clay pots with milk overflow and enjoyed sweet pongal and sugarcane.
The 7th annual sports meet began with prayer and welcome. Parade and march‑past led into events featuring yoga, aerobics, formation dance, pyramid displays and karate, closing with the National Anthem.
Annual Day and Kindergarten Graduation celebrated academic, cultural and co‑curricular success with chief guests and trust members. Children showcased talents across performances and received warm encouragement.
Students and staff appreciated drivers and housekeeping teams for their dedicated service, recognising the importance of every role in building the SFIS community.
